Message So here is a little background on this story. My sister bought a 90 TT as a daily, the car needed some work but it was complete and original and ran good. I come to find out that 16 out of the 20 wheels studs need replaced, no big deal so I replace them all and buy new lugs as well. So a couple weeks go by and i am sitting in traffic and the car stalls, I am thinking WTF? and noticed that a fuel line popped off. So I put the fuel line back on and it fires up.

so a week after that two injectors die and two more are on there way out, so I replace them with new style injectors and no problem. but it seems like it's running really rich, so I check everything and go to test the fuel pressure and it's reading 75psi whenever the ignition is on. so naturally I pull the FPCU and notice it's fried and then I look at the wiring and the asshole PO wired the fuel pump at full voltage whenever the ignition is on.

So I replace the FPCU harness between the FPCU and the pump and put a new FPCU in, and I still can't get any juice to the pump. So I hunt with the multimeter and find the fuel pump relay isn't clicking on, so I ground it out and everything works fine, I then grounded it out at the ECU and it worked fine, so I swap ECU's and it still doesn't work.

Well after that fiasco the stock fuel pump finally died, so I had to do a little donkey show enginearing using a q45 fuel pump (the correct fuel pump is on order through the dealer)

Now with that in mind, I also had to use a relay operated off the ignition to ground out the fuel pump relay so that the FPCU would function normally and I would have a correctly working fuel pump.

I'm open to hate and criticism, but bear in mind I had to do what I had to do as the car is a DD and the backup vehicle broke down the day before. Anyway, I thought my story was entertaining sorry I just wasted 10 minutes of your life..
